Faye Moreland

Faye E. Moreland, 8З, 3130 Minnesota Ave., died at 10:43 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Hospital after a one year’s illness. Mrs. Moreland was born Sept. 3, 1906, in Joplin and was a lifetime resident. She worked for Home Telephone Co., Joplin, which later became Southwestern Bell, for 32 years, retiring in 1950 as an assistant wire chief.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and the Telephone Pioneers of America. She married George R. Moreland on Sept. 10, 1936, at Blair, Neb. He died Oct. 10, 1976.

Survivors include two brothers, Jack Allman, 1815 Porter Ave., and Harry J. Allman, 3330 Finley Ave.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Parker Mortuary. The Rev. Gary Thomas will officiate.
Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Contributions may be made to the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church building fund.
