W.H. Criswell moved to Greenville, Texas with his parents at the age of 21.
W.H. Criswell, Sr. married Mollie Webb in Greenville, Hunt County, Texas in March of 1902. They moved to Anson in 1905 settling west of Anson. They moved to Anson in 1920 and W.H. Criswell retired in 1936. His wife preceded him in death.
Services for W.H. Criswell, 86, retired farmer were held at the First Methodist Church in Anson.
Survived by two sons - W.H. Criswell, Jr and A.L. Criswell; one daughter - Mrs. W.T. Lindsey; three brothers - Jim Criswell, Ewell Criswell, George Criswell; two sisters - Mrs. J.B. Latimer and Mrs. W.F. Hoffman; five grandchildren.
