Lynus Shelden, one of the oldest and best known citizens of Vernon, O., died on Thursday of last week, aged about 80 years. He was well known in this place in the palmy days of the Shenango Valley Agricultural and Manufacturing Society, as the exhibitor of one of the finest herds of high bred cattle ever found upon the old Fair Grounds. He was an enterprising, good citizen, a kind neighbor and an honest man, and leaves behind him a good name and a large estate.
