Fred D. Leppert, 64, Central City RD 1, died July 17, 1986, at Bedford County Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 19, 1921, in Schellsburg, son of late George and Mary (Davis) Leppert. Preceded in death by two sisters. Survived by wife, former Ida Custer, whom he married Dec. 21, 1940; and these children: Mrs. Daniel (Beverly Jean) Bulger, Mrs. Donna Lee Stefancic, Roger, married to former Elizabeth Strenski, and Charles F., married to former Deborah Hancharik, all of Central City; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Brother of: Earl, and Forest, both of Alum Bank; Marvin, New Paris; Miss Dorothy Coy, Johnstown; Mrs. Alvin (Grace) Mickey, Mrs. Richard (Frances) Taylor, both of Chesterfield, Ohio; Mrs. Alvin (Lois) Maze, Whittier, Pa.; Mrs. Donald (Helen) Carl, Virginia; and Mrs. Henry (Betty) Mowry, Ohio. Former owner of Leppert Coal Co. and Leppert Service Station. Member of UMWA.
Family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Earl Crissman and the Rev. Millard Weaver. Interment, Berkey Cemetery.
