Grace E. Umbenhauer, 89, died on Thursday, December 22, 2011, at Manor Care. She was born on Saturday, July 15, 1922, to the late Gordon E. Schneck and Amanda E. Schneck nee Glore in Pine Grove. She was a member of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Surviving are daughter, Doris P., spouse of Harold H. Heinbach of Cochranville; son, Dennis P. Umbenhauer of Lebanon; grandchildren, Robin Hamilton, Sandra Heinbach, Michael Zombro, Dennis Zombro, Debbie Greenberg, Pam Hoffman, Brandy Reppert, and Kelly Umbenhauer; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Lester Schneck and Russell Schneck; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Luther P. Umbenhauer; daughter, Janet Meyer; and brothers, Stanley Schneck, Allen Schneck, Martin Schneck, Glenn Schneck, and Earl Schneck. Viewing will be on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Jacob's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove, following the service.
