He owned and occupied what is now known as the Ole Gilbertson farm adjoining the village on the south. Many years ago, he sold that place and bought a farm near Belmont, where he has since resided. He was a successful farmer and accumulated some nice property.
The funeral was held at Belmont. The deceased is survived by four children: Mrs. Will Damrow of Shawnee, Wis., Mrs. Will Ethericker of Belmont, Amy and Charles at home and one brother Joseph Dearth of the town of Blanchard.
The funeral was conducted by Rev. Wetherbee. The remains were interred in the Belmont Cemetery.
