Jeannette "Jan" Foster Burnett went peacefully to be the Lord on December 22, 2011. Her 98th birthday would have been on Christmas Eve. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William George Burnett, Jr. Jan was born in Corsicana, Texas and was the only child of Cecil Franklin Foster and Florence Taylor Foster. Left behind to remember her are son, William George Burnett III and wife, Susie of San Antonio, Texas. She will also be affectionately remembered by her two grandchildren, Jason Burnett of San Antonio and Jennifer Burnett and her husband David, and daughter Naomi Mulder of Asheville, North Carolina. Jan also leaves behind several nieces and nephews as well as their families. Jan lived in Dallas for over 60 years before moving to San Antonio to be near her son and daughter-in-law. She was a resident of the Forum at Lincoln Heights when she passed away. Jan lived a full and rewarding life, and was truly loved by her family and friends. She was a long time member of Oak Cliff Christian Church, Eastern Star, and many civic organizations. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Laurel Land Memorial Funeral Home in Dallas. The funeral services are to be on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 12:00 noon at Laurel Land with interment to follow.
