Sarah Sally Bowles was the daughter of David Bowles and Elizabeth Betsy Clowers. On 28 Sep 1817 in Madison County, Sarah (last name spelled Boles according to the marriage index) married John Roach was the Son of Thomas Roach and Selena Henderiksen. John died in either late 1829 or early 1830 because in the 1830 census for Estill County, Sally Roach is listed as head of house with two Son's. Their ages match the ages of Thomas and Anderson. Shortly after the death of John, Sally married his brother Thomas and they had two daughters Susan and Armina. Thomas died in either late 1839 or early 1840 because in the 1840 census Sally is listed as head of house with two Son's and 2 daughter's. In the 1850 census we find a listing of Sally Roach age 45 Widow living with her Son Anderson age 23, Kitty age 17 - this would be Katherine Kitty Tucker wife of Anderson and Sally's daughter Armina age 12.
