She was preceded in death by parents John and Louise Verhine and Sister JoAnn Beard, nephew Mitchell Mathis and brother in-law Ralph Mathis Mother and Father-in-law Helen and Clarence Arlow Robbins, Sr. She was a member of Childs Memorial Baptist Church Harriman where she played the organ for 45 years. .
She is survived by her husband of 57 years Clarence Arlow Robbins, Jr. Daughter Leisa Hill of Lake City, TN Son John Robbins & wife Tammy of Dover, Delaware Grand-daughters: Chelsea Rose Hill of Lake City, TN Gretchen Lea Hill of Lakeland, FL Sister-in-law: Jacqueline Jean Mathis Niece Jill Finke & husband Alan of Missouri Nephews: Tim & Barry Mathis Janet will be missed by her four legged children Cricket and Pokey whom she cherished.
Janet was retired from Baptist Hospital of Rockwood, and was the owner of Jan's Clothes Box in Harriman, where she made many lifelong friends. She loved to garden, read her bible, and take care of her lifelong love, Clarence.
The family will receive friends Tuesday December 27, 2011 from 5 to 7 pm Schubert Funeral Home Wartburg, funeral services will follow at 7 pm with Rev. Don Long officiating.
