Guen was born to Archie E. & Jennie M. (Freeman) Noel, and raised in Ree Heights, Hand Co., South Dakota.

Guen and Samuel I. Kelley, son of Wesley & Daisey (Moon), were married December 18, 1920. They made their home in St. Lawrence their entire married lives.

They were parents of two children; a daughter, Mary Bell who was born and died in 1921, and a son, Wesley Noel, born in 1926.

Guen was very active in many community affairs. She was prominent in the Rebekah Lodge of St. Lawrence, the Bluegrass Barracks Auxillary, and the St. Lawrence Legion Auxillary. She was active in the St. Lawrence Community church and its Ladies Aid Society.

Guen died unexpectedly at home.
