Joseph Carlisle Dies of Heart Ailment
In failing health for sometime, Joseph A. Carlisle, age 69, World War veteran of 673 South Champion avenue, died in St. Francis hospital Thursday night of a heart ailment.
Mr. Carlisle served 18 months overseas during World war in a Q.M.C. salvage company. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Carlisle; six daughters; Mrs. Nora Pierce, Mrs. Bertha Speck, Mrs. Henry Beales, Mrs. Elsie Butts, Mrs. Flora Morris and Mrs. Adeline Nash; two sons, Albert and Wren Carlisle; 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; also two brothers, Clarence and Alec Carlisle.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Leach Chapel. Interment will be in Glen Rest.
