Actress. Born Sara Jane Cairns, Sally won a local "Gateway to Hollywood" acting competition while a freshman at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She finished second in the national competition but remained in Hollywood to persue her film career. She debuted in her first feature film with Monogram Pictures, sharing top billing with cowboy star Addison "Jack" Randall, in "Covered Wagon Trails" in 1940. Other film credits include the Third Blonde in "Three Blonde Mice" - 1942 and Lucy Clark in "King of the Stallions" - 1942. She performed in nearly 30 movies during her 10 year career as well as numerous short films for the United States War Department for entertaining troops. She retired from acting in 1950.
