...
The fatal collision occurred at 11 o'clock Saturday night in the Lockport-Olcott Road, two mile north of Wright's Corners where William Warner Abbott, 15, of Ridge Road, Gasport, was crushed to death when an automobile in which he was hitch-hiking from Lockport to Olcott rammed the rear of a parked truck. His skull was smashed.
...
The body of the Abbott boy was sent to the Corwin Funeral Home, Newfane, and later transferred to the Bream Funeral Home, Gasport, where services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
Classmates Bearers
The Rev. E. W. Daniels, pastor of the Gasport Methodist Church, where he attended, will officiate. Classmates at the Barker Central School where he was a freshman, will be bearers.
The Abbott boy had lived in the Ridge Road for the past four years, the family moving there from East Aurora. The parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wiliam Abbott, told Dr. Carmer their son left home early Saturday evening to attend the theater.
Besides his parents, the youth leaves two sisters, Mrs. Norbert Wick, Lockport and Mrs. Duane Walker, Hartland; one brother, Richard Abbott, at home, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Warner, Hartland.
