Mrs. Orr was a homemaker and the former owner and operator of Irwin Crossroads Store. She was a former third grade teacher at the Balls Ferry Elementary School.
Mrs. Orr was an active member of the Ohoopee Baptist Church, where she served as the organist and choir director. Sunday school teacher and superintendent of the Sunday School. She was a member of the Tennille Fine Arts Club, the Tennille Garden Club, the Tennille Women's Club, the Tuesday Bridge Club and the Washington County Historical Association.
She was predeceased by her two brothers, D.F. Warnock and Herman Warnock. Survivors are a son, James D. Orr of Brooklet; and five nephews.
The family suggests that donations be made to the Zeta Cemetery Trust Fund, P.O. Box 1, Tennille, Georgia, 31089.
