Dora McAlister, 78, of Jonesboro, AR., passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.

She was born September 30, 1933 in Black Rock, AR to the late Thomas Mose Robertson and Edith Beeler Robertson.

Mrs. McAlister retired as office manager for Dr. F. M. Wilson and the Jonesboro Eye Clinic. She was a charter member of Craighead County Master Gardeners and served as president in 1996, recently earning her lifetime membership this year. She was also a member of the Walnut St. Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Warren Baughman and her second husband, Edwin McAlister as well as eight brothers, two sisters and her granddaughter, Katy Pryor.

Cherishing her memory, she leaves behind sons, Anthony Warren Baughman and wife Mary of West Fork, Jeffrey Blaine Baughman and wife Kimberlee of Okatie, SC; daughters, Linnette Baughman Pryor and husband Mike of Little Rock and Jonesboro, Beth McAlister Price and husband Emmett of Stafford, VA, Kerry Elizabeth Deardorff and husband Kelley of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Mark Baughman and wife Sydney of Rogers, Kevin Baughman of West Fork, Joshua Baughman of West Memphis, Daniel Pryor and wife Jayme of Little Rock, Dr. Rebecca Price of Durham, NC, Julie Spinelli and husband Adam of Fredericksburg, VA, Karen Price of Stafford ,VA, Kallee and Alexandra Allen of Hot Springs, Shelby and Kristen Deardorff of Fayetteville; 6 great grandchildren, Darina, Kayden, Ryan, Mari Elisabeth, Matthew and Esabella; three sisters, Nettie Oldham of Jonesboro, Betty Jean McCarty of Lima, OH and Evelyn Flippo of Powhatan, as well as two very special great nieces, Morgan and Bailey McAlexander of Jonesboro.

Arrangments wer by: at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Funeral services wereheld at the funeral home. Interment was in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
