He was 48.
Mr. Wilkerson was born July 24, 1963 in Wilmington, DE, the son of the late Lloyd C. Wilkerson and Emma L. Wilkerson.
He formerly worked as a Foreman for Asplundh Tree Company, and was also a past member of the Teamsters Union for Cole Contractors, and was also a Truck Driver for Shellhorn & Hill, all of Wilmington, DE.
Patrick enjoyed being around his family and friends. He always had a good laugh with everyone. There was never a dull moment whenever anyone was in the presence of Pat.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Benjamin T. Wilkerson; two brothers, Samuel Wilkerson and Jack Wilkerson; and a sister, Rita Morgan.
He is survived by 2 sons, Patrick H. Wilkerson, Jr. and Caleb T. Wilkerson, and there mother, Shelly S. Wilkerson, all of Wilmington, NC; a special friend, Denise Fry of Greenville, PA; 3 sisters, Betty, Dorothy, and Mary; 3 brothers, Phil, James, Eddie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 11 am to 12 noon in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, DE.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11 am at Glenwood Cemetery in Smyrna.
