"The LaFayette Sun" - June 30, 1920:
In Memory of My Dear Mama.
Mrs. Maggie (Moore) Hill was born July 1st, 1888, and died March 17th, 1920. It has been so lonesome for papa and we five children since mama left us. She was dead two weeks before we children knew it. Oh, how we miss our dear mama! No mama to meet us when we return from our play and little visits. Jesus took her out of her sufferings. I hope we will meet her some sweet day on the bright golden shore where we will never be motherless any more. I hope God will be with us and lead us in the right way.
- Her little daughter, Ozie Lee Hill.
