Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10a.m. Tuesday December 27 at St Brendan Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4-7p.m. Monday at Arnold Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 7p.m. Burial will be in St Brendan Cemetery.
Charles was born September 8, 1923 in Mexico, the son of John and Nancy(Mann)Rainey, On January 9, 1944 in Moberly Mo. he married Anna Covella Harris.
Mr. Rainey served his country in the U.S. Army under Gen. Patton in the Army Corps of Engineers and was awarded 4 bronze stars. He owned and operated Charlies Auto Parts. He was an original member of the second charter of the Knights of Columbus and really enjoyed fixing things and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, one son, Norman Wayne Rainy and wife Donna of Independence, OR. one daughter Janet Lynn Graham and husband Tracy of Mexico, five grandchildren, Chris, Mark, ric, Gib and Jacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Douglas Rainey, three brothers and two sisters.
Memorial donations may be made to St Brendan's Church or St. Brendan's School in care of 425 S. Jefferson Mexico Mo 65265
