Agnes Tanner Wine, 86, of Creston, W.Va., passed from this life Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Tuckers Creek of Wirt County, the daughter of the late O.P. "Tobe" and Nettie Sprouse Wigal. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Central Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, William Tanner and wife Sandy of Parkersburg, and Raymond Tanner and wife Beverly of Elizabeth; one daughter, Nina Bock and husband Gene of Creston, W.Va.; one stepson, John Wines and wife Marilyn of Walker, W.Va.; two brothers, Robert Wigal of Elizabeth, W.Va., and Chester Wigal and wife Marge of Gallipolis, Ohio; one sister, Iva Manning Burkhart and husband Alvin of Rockport, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray Tanner and Lawrence Ray Wine; two daughters, Norma Jane and Sharon Imogene; four brothers, Clarence, Pearl, Ray and Bill; and two sisters, Hazel and Inez.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Matheny Pomroy Funeral Home with Rev. David F. Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Central Hill Cemetery of Wirt County. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday.
