OPELIKA, AL -- Mr. Leon Collins Foster, 95, of Opelika died Thursday, December 27, 2001 at the Care Center of Opelika, AL.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. (EST) Saturday, December 29, 2001 at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, AL with Rev Steve York officiating. Burial will follow in LaFayette City Cemetery in LaFayette, AL.
Mr. Foster is survived by his wife, Sarah Jewell Harmon Foster; his daughter, Janice Foster (Cook) Sikes of Cusseta, AL; two grandchildren, Jason Sikes of Valley, AL and Julie Sikes of Cusseta, AL; and his sister, Ruby Hester of LaGrange, GA.
Born July 11, 1906 in Chambers County, AL, Mr. Foster had been married to Mrs. Foster for 70 years and had been employed as a supervisor at the Lanett Bleachery and Dye Works for 33 years. He was a member of Fairfax First Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Mary Catherine Todd Foster and William Foster.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 28, 2001 from 7 to 9 p.m. (EST) at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, AL.
