Lloyd Washington Arnett, of Sedalia, MO, died May 8, 2002, at his home.
He was born Aug 23, 1917, Edwards, MO, a son of George Washington and Cynthia Lavada Berryman Arnett.
Mr Arnett was raised and educated in Sedalia. He was a US Army Air Corp veteran of World War II, serving from 1942 to 1946. He lived in Brawley, CA, for two years, then he returned to Sedalia, where he was a horse rancher. He raised, bred, trained and showed horses at the American Royal. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, State Fair Saddle Club and the Jolly Elders. He enjoyed being a father and a grandfather.
Surviving are a son, Larry Wayne Arnett of Blue Springs, MO; a sister, Ophia Estes of Excelsior Springs, MO; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leland and Loren; and four sisters, Sophie, Mildred, Beulah and Eula.
Pallbearers were JD Johnson, Mike Johnson, Dugan Arnett, Charles Needy, Marvin Kreisel and Henry Eckles. Honorary pallbearers were Olen Howard, Frank Gooch and James Wilson.
