Gilbert Marshall "Pat" Ashley, 87, Hitchita, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 1995 at Sapulpa. Services at Hitchita School Gymnasium with the Rev. Donald Wayne Cook, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Lackey Cemetery, Hitchita, directed by Shurden Funeral Home. He was born May 6, 1908 in Fawn to William P. and Martha Elizabeth Pryor Ashley. He married Lusetter McElroy Ashley at Checotah on Sept. 3, 1926.
He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Lusetter Ashley, of the home; five children, Virginia Barker and Essie Loretta Archer, both of Sapulpa; Roy Dean Ashley and Phyllis Ann Ryal, both of Collinsville; and Josie Lee Cook, Sand Springs; 27 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Gilbert Clyce Ashley in 1958 and Floyd Ray Ashley in 1989; a daughter, Grace Angelina Schweltzer in 1988; a granddaughter, Theresa Sue Baldridge Ashley in 1982; and a grandson, Martin Archer in 1983.
