Francis Harry Tams passed away on December 21, 2011 surrounded by his family.
He was born to Harry and Alva (Bird) Tams in St. Lawrence, SD. Francis grew up in Vayland, South Dakota with his older brother, Cecil. He met and married Verla Georgia Prescott in 1942.
Francis served in the National Guard, and then was sent to France during World War II where he served as a Motor Pool Sergeant in a hospital, then as a German Prisoners-of-War guard after the war ended.
Francis and Verla lived in Payette, Idaho, where he worked for Gem State Bakery for over 25 years. They raised 3 sons: William L. Tams (Bill), Kenneth L. Tams (Ken) and Kevin P Tams. Verla passed away in 1979 after 37 years of marriage.
Francis married Adeline V. (Jenkins) Ross in 1982. Francis and Adeline lived in Boise, Idaho after Francis retired from Champion Home Builders. Adeline died in 2002 after 20 years of marriage.
Francis was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his three sons and their families, which consists of three daughters-in-law, eight Grandchildren, and 17 Great-Grandchildren.
