Graveside service for Annie Pearl Evans, 84, of Newark will be Thursday, March 11, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery No. 1 in Wise County. The Rev. Dan Williams will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 10.
Evans died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, in Newark. She was born Feb. 23, 1920, in Justin to Raleigh and Alice Garrett. Evans was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Newark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.D. Evans, and a daughter, Francis Thiemer.
She is survived by her grandson, Willie Bell; granddaughter, Patty Campbell; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be William Bell, Larry Hunter, Ken Davis, Jimmy Campbell, Shane Wolf and Chris Evans. Honorary pallbearer will be Roger Kennedy.
