Howard "Doc" Jarvis
Howard "Doc" Jarvis, 71, of Hollis, died Friday, September 15. He was a retired farmer and lived in the Dodson area many years.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 18, at 11 am at the Church of the Nazarene, Dodson with Rev Harry Wales, pastor, officiating. Burial was at the Dodson Cemetery under the direction of Palterson-Greer Funeral Home. Mr Jarvis was born September 17, 1917 in Gould. He married Billie Jo Owens, June 15, 1973 in Wellington. He moved to Hollis in 1969. Mr. Jarvis was a veteran of US Air Force. He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Dodson.
Survivors include: his wife, Billie Jo Owens Jarvis; three brothers, R.B. Jarvis of Hollis, Andy Jarvis of Tulsa and C.B. Jarvis of Chandler; four sisters, Chloe Wooldridge of San Antonio, Wilma Sinclair of Mount Ida, Ark., Jerry Downing of Tulsa and Mary McGhee of Petrolia.
Mr. Jarvis was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
