Chancy L. (Basquez) Sloan age 77 passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 at Grace Living Center in Jenks, Oklahoma.

Chancy was born May 9, 1934 to Andy Basquez and Rafalia (Jaramillo) Basquez. She graduated in 1954 from Wetumka High School. Chancy worked for Parkview Nursing Home for fifteen years as a nurse's aide until her retirement. She was a member of Tulsa Apostolic Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Chancy was preceded in death by her parents: Andy and Rafalia Basquez, her husband, Alfred Sloan (2004), her five brothers: Nick Basquez, Daniel Basquez, Ralph Basquez, Jessie Basquez, Gunner Basquez and her sister: Johnnie Basquez.

She is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Roughface of Tulsa, Mary Groth and her husband, Jeff of Newcastle, OK, her brothers, Raymond Basquez and his wife, Corene of Augusta, KS, Jim Basquez of Wetumka, OK, her sisters, Doris Davis of Glenpool, Julia Keathley and her husband Alvin of Wetumka, OK, Maggie Johnson and her husband Kenneth of Harrisonville, MO, and her four loving grandchildren Caitlin Roughface, Brandon Alspaugh, Ronnie Alspaugh, Josh Groth along with other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service, Glenpool, Oklahoma.

Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 at Schaudt's Funeral Service Chapel. Reverend Jerry C. Johns will officiate. Interment will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh, Oklahoma.
