Susanna Margaret (Earl) Camp is burried at Hugo Cemetery (aka: Wayside Cemetery) in Texas. She is laid to rest next to her son-in-law William Summie Allen & her daughter Mary Amanda "Polly" Camp. The 3 plots are enclosed together in a cut stone block square which came from William Summie Allen's well house. He cut the stones & brought them to the cemetery himself (he lived longer than Susanna & Mary Amanda). She does not have a headstone, just a footstone (not marked). Susanna's husband & Mary Amanda's father, Abner Camp Jr died in North Carolina of yellow fever at about the same time as one of his brothers Vardy. So Susanna came to Texas from North Carolina with her youngest daughter Hannah, also son-in-law William Summie Allen, husband of daughter Mary Amanda. Susanna died in the Allen home. Susanna can be found in census records in North Carolina as "Susanna M.E. Camp". I am researching her parents, etc....I will add more info as I get it.
