Howard Wesely Hubbard, 78, 3057 Iowa, died Tuesday afternoon in St. Benedict's hospital.
He was born Feb 18, 1898 in Almo, Idaho Tuesday afternoon, the son of David and Ida Cardon Hubbard.
He married Josephine Sanford in 1928. She died in 1947. On Nov, 17, 1962 he married Stelia Barker Thompson in Elko. Nev. He had been employed as a carpenter at Ogden City Schools prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Highland LDS ward where he had been active as a high priest and home teacher. He had formerly served an LDS mission to Hawaii and had been a home teaching supervisor in the Mound Fort 2nd Ward. He lived in Idaho, Alaska, and California prior to moving to Ogden, in 1951. He served in World War I and was chaplain of the Veterans of World War I Barracks 0011.
Surviving are his widow, of Ogden; a son, H. ray Hubbard of Elk, Nev.; two stepson, Ray B. Thompson and H. John Thompson, both of South Ogden; a daughter, Mrs. John T. (Coraiean) Biegler of Elk, Nev.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Zaven (Ruth) Tatarian of san Raphael, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; for u great grandchildren and a brother, Vern Hubbard of Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden with Bishop Garn Ford of the Highland Ward officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 6 to 8 pm. And Saturday prior to the services. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the heart fund.
Interment will be in the Springville, Evergreen Cemetery.
