Nyta Black Giles, 76, of Mapleton, died Thursday, September 29, 1994, at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, Provo, Utah. She was born January 21, 1918, in Ammon, Idaho, to William Shirley and Verna Johnson Black. She married J. Ross Farrer in Pioche, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti, Utah, LDS Temple. He preceded her in death in 1952. She married Leon Charles Giles August 5, 1965, in the Manti, Utah LDS Temple. She is survived by her husband of Mapleton, five sons and five daughters: Annette Bylund (Cy), Salt Lake City, UT; Leonette Clark (Carl) Pleasant Grove, UT; Geraldine Seman (Karl) Salt Lake City, UT; J. Ross Farrer (Linda) Bountiful, UT; Michael W. Farrer (Karma) Springville, UT; David Giles (Peggy) Mapleton, UT; Janine Murdock (Steven) Springville, UT; Pete Giles (Deana) Pomona, CA; JoNan Preston (John) Mapleton, Utah; Sam Giles (Tammy) Mapleton, UT; 43 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Vernal Black, Salt Lake City, UT; Maurice Black, Spanish Fork, UT; Herman Black, Blackfoot, ID. Burial was October 3, 1994.
