She was the daughter of Ignace Chatelain Plamondon and Josephte Houle. She married Jean Baptiste Taillon (John Tyo) Mar 2, 1840 at St Patrick Church, Hogansburg, Franklin County, New York.

She and her husband owned and operated the International Hotel (sometimes called the Halfway House) located on the border of Dundee, Quebec, Canada and Fort Covington, New York, USA. A stripe was painted on the floor to show the International border.

The couple had twelve children: Lucie, Philomine, Jean Baptiste (John B), Marie Philomine, Joseph Angus, Julia, Rosalie, Alexander, Josephte (Josephine), Eleanor Celeste, Stephen, and Celina Adeline.

There is some dispute about the date of her death. the Gazett of Malone lists her death as 2 Oct 1897, but email correspondence with a researcher related to Lucy has information that she died Oct 20, 1897.
