A pretty double marriage took place last night at 1608 South Charles street, the home of Mr. Edward P. Shannon. Miss Emeleta Shannon, daughter of Mr. Shannon, was married to Mr. George W. Bangs, and Miss Laura E Morningstar, niece of Mr. Shannon, was married to Mr. William A Orme. The second couple are residents of Montgomery county, Maryland.

The ceremony took place beneath an arch of American flags and red, white and blue flowers. They entered the parlor preceded by the bridesmaid, Miss Delmah Brown, and the groomsman, Mr. John W. Lambert, Jr. Miss Shannon was attired in a gown of ashes-of-roses cloth, trimmed with white taffeta and ribbon. She carried a cluster of Bride roses. Miss Morningstar wore a lavender taffeta and ribbon. She also carried Bride roses. The bridesmaid wore a grown of Bedford cord, trimmed with pink taffeta and ribbon. Rev. Watson Case, pastor of Fort Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church, performed the ceremony, which was followed by a reception.
