The oldest son of Walter W & Ruth E Baumgardt attended Jefferson High School (Lafayette, IN). He was retired from the US Post Office after 30 years of service at Lafayette & Indianapolis. He also served with the US Navy in the Pacific Fleet during WWII and after discharge enlisted in the Ready Reserve.
He had been a part time farmer near Zionsville, In.
Bill and first wife Joanne had four children before divorcing. Later he married Louise Barrett and they lived happily In Oxford, In. for several years.

He was 52 when he passed away suddenly.
He was survived by both his mother, father, a brother, sister, his children and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins galore.
My thanks to his friends at the USPO, his best friends from his service days, especially Bill Millman and the military honor guard that took him to his rest.
