Mrs. Jennie Adkins Rowley, wife of John H. Rowley, Wilton Road, died yesterday morning. She was born in Ticonderoga Dec. 25, 1880.
Mrs. Rowley had been active in the First Baptist Church, of which she had been a member for many years. She was president of the Mizpah Pilathea Class and had been president of the Wilton Baptist Missionary Society for a number of years. She had lived in Wilton 42 years.
Survivors in addition to her husband are two sons, G.Stuart and C.Spencer Rowley, both of Saratoga Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie A. Carr, Wilton and Ticonderoga, and Mrs. Ellen Johnson, Ticonderoga; a brother, the Rev. Leon M. Adkins, pastor of University Methodist Church, Syracuse; two sisters in law, Mrs. Elizabeth Adkins, Schenectady, and Miss Harriet E. Rowley, Wilton, three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at the residence Thursday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Mahlon C. Tunison, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Stillwater. Friends may call at the residence Wednesday afternoon and evening. A Jennie A. Rowley Memorial Organ Fund has been started by friends, and Newton W. Cline, 124 1-2 Circular, is receiving contributionns.
