Seth Craft, of Route 4, Jackson, died at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau Tuesday, Aug. 28, 1990. He was 87.

Craft was born July 30, 1903, near New Bethel, the son of Tom Craft and Pagney Levi. He married Mary Eaker on Feb. 23, 1922. She died Oct. 4, 1986.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Craft of Route 4, Jackson, and Jack Craft of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Dorothy Halter of Oran and Virginia Feverston of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Wilson W. Craft of Jackson; two sisters, Josie Docktor of Indianapolis, Ind., and Eutha Walker of Jackson. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were two brothers and eight sisters.

He and his wife spent 50 years of their lives in Cape Girardeau. For 30 years they owned and operated the former Mary's Cafe and the Cowboy's Restaurant, both in Cape Girardeau. They moved to a farm near New Bethel in 1972.

Craft was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Don Slatton will preside. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
