Brian A. Petty of Downingtown

Brian A. Petty, 40, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at his home.

He was a 1989 graduate of Downingtown High School and received his bachelor of science degree from West Chester University in 1993. Brian was employed as a personal trainer for the past 5 years at Dragon Gym, and previously for other various gyms in the area. He was also the first in the area to be certified in Kettle Bell training.

He is survived by his companion of over three years, Diana Volante of Downingtown; parents, Alan P. and Deborah L. Vischer Petty of East Fallowfield; brother, Sean R. Petty of West Chester; maternal grandparents, Jack and Jane Vischer; aunt, Marilouise Landolt; and by his cousin, Noelle Landolt.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown.

Services and interment are private.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to either Neighborhood Hospice of West Chester, 400 E. Marshall Street, West Chester, PA 19380, or to the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County, Inc., P.O. Box 832, West Chester, PA 19106.
