WOODVILLE- Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Ray McCarstle, 94, of Woodville, who died Monday, December 19, 2011 at Glenburney Nursing Home, will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Woodville Baptist Church with Rev. Rob Muncy officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. Thursday until time of service at the church.
Mrs. McCarstle was born November 2, 1917 in Woodville, MS, the daughter of Major Scott and Olivia Johnson Scott. She was a lifelong member of Woodville Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She retired from the Town of Woodville. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred C. McCarstle, one sister, Major Speaker, two brothers, Grantham Scott and Davis Scott, and her son in law, Anthony Lomonaco.
She is survived by one son, Clifton McCarstle and wife, Katie, of Natchez; one daughter, Donnis Lomonaco of Lake Charles, LA; one grandson, Clifton McCarstle and wife, Melanie, of Tulsa, OK; one granddaughter, Anna Rodrigue and husband, Todd, of Lafayette, LA; and three great grandchildren, Caroline, Avery, and Grant Rodrigue of Lafayette, LA.
Pallbearers will be David Bramlette, Bob Redhead, Larry Scott, Charles Henry Fairchild, Paul Arnold, and Tillery Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Theodore McCarstle, Wayne McCarstle, Mitchell Whitaker, and Dr. David McGraw.
