Charles A. Ahn, 58, aged years, who was severely scalded in an accident at the Topton Furnace, died at midnight, Tuesday in the Allentown Hospital, to which institution he had been removed. Mr. Ahn was unconscious when admitted to the institution and remained in that condition to the end.
Mr. Ahn along with several others was cleaning boilers at the Topton furnace and through some misunderstanding live steam was turned into the boiler, scalding him.

Mr. Ahn is survived by his widow, Salome (Heffner), one son, Charles, Allentown and two daughters, Kate and Annie, at home, besides four brothers, John, Circleville, Ohio; William, Alburtis and Jacob and Edwin, Allentown.
He was the son of Solomon and his wife, Hettie (Hilbert) Ahn, both deceased and was born in Maxatawny township.
The remains were brought to his home on Railroad street on Wednesday, from where the funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 13, at 2 o'clock. All the services will be held at the house. Rev. J. W. Bittner will officiate. Interment will be in Hope cemetery. Undertaker William S. Fritz has charge.
He was also a member of Aerie No. 839 Fraternal Order of Eagles, Jr. O. U. A. M. and Adonai Castle, No. 70, Knights of the Golden Eagle.
