Cotton, 63, died May 20, 1987, at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko, MS. He was a native of Attala County, MS; and a member of the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary L. Cotton; his stepfather, Albert Jones and stepmother, Hattie Jones of Kosciusko, MS; a daughter, Mrs. Beverly Benson of Milwaukee, WI; four sons, Lonnie Cotton, Rueben Cotton, Bill Cotton and Troy Cotton of Milwaukee, WI; also two sisters, Francis Jones Sneeze of Seattle, WA; Augustine Dotson of Laurel, MS; two brothers, Henry Jones of Milwaukee, WI; and Billie Jones of Brunswick, NJ; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS.
Pallbearers were Troy Cotton, Lonnie Cotton, Billy Jones,
Rueben Cotton, Jr., Bill Cotton, Rueben Cotton, and Henry Jones.
Winters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
