Lorraine A. Silfies, 60, of RR2 Mehoopany, died Monday, Dec. 29, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of George Silfies. They had observed their 42nd wedding anniversary in September.

Born in Shades Creek, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Henrietta (Silfies) Blakeslee.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters: Tami Donovan of Mehoopany, Lori DiBetta of Lansdale and Natasha Scott of Quakertown; two sons, Glenn Silfies of Quakertown and Eric Silfies of Lansdale; a brother, Leon Blakeslee of Gouldsboro; two sisters, Joann Kerrick of Willits, Calif., and Linda Mormon of Lansdale; and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, from the Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209, Brodheadsville.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. Friday, until the time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, R.R.2, Box 2138, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
