Inscription

Born in Chester Dist. S.C. ... in the 38th Year of His Ministry

Erected by his fondly attached congregation.

He died with his armor on in the service of the cross. As his life, so his death was with the master whom he loved. After he had served his own generation by the will of God he fell on sleep.

He filled well the measure of his days through divine grace in all the relations of life which he occupied. He was as faithful a Covenanter as he was catholic in principle and spirit.

HE WAS 31 YRS. PASTOR OF CEDARVILLE REF. PRES. CHURCH

The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
