RICHFIELD Mrs. Sarah Cody Briggs 86, died Friday, May 18, 2001. She was born September 14, 1914 in Stanly County, NC, the daughter of the late Eva Ann Page Almond and W.P. Almond. She was married to the late Daniel Cletus Cody and Kenneth W. Briggs. She was a retired assembler breaker for Federal Pacific Company.

The funeral will be 4 p.m. Monday at Paul's Crossing Baptist Church. The Rev. Jessie Dennis and the Rev. Tony Bowman will officiate. Burial will be New Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Richfield, NC. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle.

She was a member of Paul's Crossing Baptist Church. She was active as long as her health permitted. She was in the choir and was a member of the Sr. Citizen Band. She enjoyed the Church League Softball.

Survivors are sons, Dewayne Cody of Richfield, NC; son, Darrell Cody of Gold Hill, NC, and Rodney Cody of Richfield, NC; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Paul's Crossing Baptist Church, 40461 Paul's Crossing Road, Richfield, NC 28137.

The family will be at the home Rodney Cody, a son, 40866 Paul's Crossing Road, Richfield, NC.
