Hold Rites Saturday For Mrs. Cummins
Funeral services will be held from the Seydler funeral home Saturday at 3 p.m. for Mrs. Bertha Kate Cummins of Waelder, who died at the Holmes Memorial hospital Friday, Oct. 26 at 9:20 a.m.
The Rev. Claud O'Neall, pastor of the Waelder Baptist church, will conduct the last rites and interment will take place in the Saturn cemetery.
Mrs. Cummins was born on September 22, 1878 in Gonzales county, the daughter of Rachel Gibson and John L. Gibson both Texas natives. She was married to Lycurgus Cummins and was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include her husband and one daughter, Mrs. M. E. Helwig of Waelder, and two brothers, Hugh Gibson of Moulton and Bruce Gibson of Houston. Another brother, J. S. Gibson of Gonzales preceded her in death.
