Roy Ioabod Janes, 59, who resided at 515 7th st, SW. LeMars
passed away at the Sacred Heart hospital on Sunday September 15th. He had been a patient at the hospital for six weeks and sick for several months.
He was born June 11, 1904, the son of Charles Henry Janes and Mary Ann White at Windsor, Missouri. He came to Plymouth county from Missouri in 1939 and has lived here since.
On July 19, 1941 he was united in marriage to Mary Schroeder at Dakota City, Nebr. He was an employee at Whelan Motor Company.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 18th
at 2 p.m. at the Mauer funeral home. Rev. Alvern Kinrade
will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens LeMars under direction of Mauer funeral home.
Survivors include his wife; three children, Ronald of Le Mars, Teddy in the service at Pensacola, Florida and Mrs. Barbara Hamilton, Kansas City, Mo. Three grandchildren.
Three brothers, Walter S. Janes, Oklahoma; Leslie C. Janes, Calif., and Harry Ernest Janes of Ill., one sister, Wilda B. Walton of Cal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
