David Everts was the 2nd child, 1st son, born to Grace Baxter and James(Jake) Everts. He loved teasing and was ALL boy while growing to manhood. After marrying, he bought a farm in Bainbridge, IN. Family members would visit and go hunting, fishing or riding horses.
Dave started working at GM in Indianapolis, 1959. He put in long hours and hardly took a day off. Between going to church and working, he didn't have much time for the farm he loved. Dave sold the farm and bought a house with an acre of land in Brick Chapel. While living at Brick Chapel, he started and was a minister of a Pentecostal church and preached for many years.
In 1991, his wife filied for a divorce. At the time of the Divorce, they owned 4 houses and recieving only one, he started over. By the time Dave retired in 2003, he had a small farm in Montezuna, IN. He loved his farm and going to church in Rockville.
Dave had 6 children with his 1st wife, helped raised his cousin's son - which he consider Jimmy a son. Later Dave re-married and had a son and daughter. He loved children and would help any child, whether it was his or some other child. Dave was always taking children to the St. Louis Zoo. Dave would help anyone- someone walking down the road or anyone in need of help.
