"Dr. Garth F. Harrison, age 51, of Leawood, KS, passed away on July 16, 2004. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at Nativity Catholic Church and burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrison Children Educational Fund or The American Lung Association. Garth was born on June 5, 1953 in Omaha, NE.

He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical School. Garth served his residency and fellowship at KU Medical Center and was a member of the National Medical Honor Society. Dr. Harrison had practiced Pulmonary Medicine at Research Medical Center for over 20 years.
He was a devoted father and husband who always put his family first. Garth was a terrific role model for all who knew him. He enjoyed sports, and was an avid wind surfer. Garth was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Frazier Harrison.
