Mrs. Isa Y. Oakes
Mrs. Isa Earl Young Oakes, 81, of 218 Erskine Dr., died today at her home after an extended illness.
A native of Lincoln County, she was born June 18, 1895 to the late Abner B. and Mary Baugh Young. She had lived in Boyle County since 1915 and belonged to the Lexington Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Kinnaird Oakes; one daughter, Mrs. Jewell Curtis of 8002 Zelma Fields, Louisville; two sons, Marion F. Oakes of Danville and Owen R. Oakes, 3611 Rowin Dr., Erlanger; 11 grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral will be conducted by the Revs. Dr. W. Austin Roberts and the Rev. Odis Clark at 11 a.m. Monday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday.
