Mr. Ricky Howard "Rick" Foley, 63, of Troy died suddenly at his home Monday December 19, 2011.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Michael Lynn, Bill Stoffel, Butch Dellinger, Stan Trevathan, Terry Caudle and Brian Hughes.

Rick was born July 23, 1948, in Martin, son of Clara Nell (Walker) Foley of Union City and the late Zanthus Howard "Zank" Foley. He married the former Marsha Trevathan on June 13, 1969. She survives. He was a 1967 graduate of Union City High School and received an associates degree in respiratory therapy from Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, Mississippi. He received a bachelor of religious arts in biblical studies from Jacksonville Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Florida. He was ordained as a Baptist minister by the Rosewood Baptist Church in Woddbury, Minnesota in 2001. Rick was employed at the time of his death by ITC Telecommunications Company and had been working in Missouri. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City.

In addition to his mother and wife he is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, April and Michael Lynn of Dalton, Georgia; his son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Christy Foley of Obion; and seven grandchildren, Matthew Lynn, Brittany Lynn, MaKayla Lynn, Maverick Lynn and Emma Grace Lynn all of Dalton, Georgia and Elisabeth Foley and Ja Foley both of Obion.
