WESTON — Earl Thomas Armstrong, Sr., 60, of Sand Run Road, Weston, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown following an extended illness.
He was born in Baltimore, MD, on December 30, 1950. On October 9, 1981, he married Linda (Gough) Armstrong, who preceded him in death on March 27, 2011.
Mr. Armstrong is survived by two daughters, Kimberley Ann Delay and husband, Cameron and Nichole Henderson and husband, Brian; one son, Earl Thomas Armstrong, Jr., and wife, Malissa and 10 grandchildren.
Mr. Armstrong was an independent owner and operator truck driver. He was a veteran of the United States Army and Air Force with several years of service. Earl attended the Murphy’s Creek Baptist Church. He was an avid poker player and enjoyed going to the casinos.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home, 730 N. Main Avenue, Weston, on Monday, December 19, 2011, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Wease Day officiating. Entombment will follow services in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens of Mt. Clare, WV. Full military honors will be conducted by the Lewis County Honor Guard.
