Harold was a World War II veteran who was able to go on the Iowa Honor Flight in 2010. He was a street car and bus driver and a guard at the Iowa Des Moines National Bank where he retired from in 1981. Harold enjoyed working in his yard and with horses. He was also a member of the Sheriff's Posse in Indianola as well as the Des Moines Saddle Club. Harold and his wife, Delores, were regular attendees at the West Des Moines Senior Center where they made many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Harold was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Ramsey.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Delores; children, Terry (Edi) Lambert and Donna (Dwayne) Smith; grandchildren, Kevin, Lora, Cara and Jill; and great-grandchildren, Nathan, Kassidy, Roni, Zach, Alex and Blayze.
