Castle Dale - Ruth A. Jensen Huntsman age 91, passed away Sept. 30, 2009 in Price.
She was born Dec. 9, 1917 to John Ray and Adelia Marie Acord Jensen in Castle Dale.
Ruth married Leland J. Huntsman on Feb. 29, 1940 in Hunter.
Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, and together they had five children. Ruth will be remembered for her beautiful art work and her ability to write poems - she always had a song or nursery rhyme to cheer her day. She was a member of the LDS Church and held many callings.
She is survived by children: Ramona (Juergen) Kaehl, Price, Ronald (Eleanore) Huntsman, Nikiski, Ala., Irene (Ronald) Fossat, Price, Calvin (Rebecca) Huntsman, Saint George, daughter-in-law Karen Huntsman, Castle Dale; 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and threegreat-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by parents, husband, Leland; son, Dan Lee; one grandchild, two great-grandchildren, five brothers and one sister.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Heirloom Inn and Rocky Mountain Home Health for their loving care they gave our mother.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Castle Dale Eighth Chapel (165 West 800 North).
A viewing will be held prior the services 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Castle Dale city cemetery.
Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
